Thailand is very hot in July. I shuttled with customers to and from three jobsites, carefully checking each component on every machine. Eight bulldozers were nearly out of warranty, so I went there again to perform the last periodic inspection.
As one part of our standard service, the third and last inspection is a very important and comprehensive check within the warranty period. I needed to ensure everything went well and keep the customer free from worry.
The bulldozers had just finished working for the day and sent out a stream of heat. I checked the machines and found one of them had a fuel leak coming from the bottom guard plate. The customer was relieved after I had replaced the broken joint between the low pressure hose and spray nozzle.
It took about two weeks to get the whole job done, because the three sites where the bulldozers were located were quite far apart. I’ve taken care of the eight bulldozers for a whole year, and all of them have run well up to now. Although I’m working under the burning sun, it is a real pleasure to get positive feedback from customers and see the smile on their faces.
I know the last periodic inspection didn’t mean the end of our service, but a new beginning that needs more meticulous care!
